ISFM21- June 2021 (3000 delegates x 3 days)

No catnapping at ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine) as OCTA ensures delivery of an upbeat, energetic virtual conference

ISFM21, the World Feline Congress, took place in the virtual realm in June this year attracting 3000 global delegates over 3 days for an in-depth look at the path to diagnosis of the cat. The event was delivered seamlessly on the OCTA platform with technical direction and support from AVCOM.

The annual conference involved more than forty-five international feline experts representing a wide range of veterinary discipline

s. New this year, and made possible by the deployment of OCTA, were the live panel sessions that facilitated interactive learning, addressing many of the misconceptions that vets may have in clinical practice on common disease issues.

As a highly flexible virtual platform, OCTA was customised to match the tiniest details of ISFM’s brand guidelines, providing a seamless user experience and interface, in total harmony with ISFM’s look and feel.

Deploying a mixture of both pre-recorded and live content, and with multiple Q&A sessions on each day, ISFM21, although operating exclusively in the virtual realm, was characterised by a highly engaged audience, with strong levels of interactivity across all channels including chat, Q&A and polls. ISFM attributed this to the user friendliness and efficiency of the OCTA platform.

Ongoing delegate engagement was facilitated by the use of a social wall with attendees posting images and comments from their locations all over the globe.

A Treasure Hunt, along with gamification, was offered, linked to the thirteen  2D and 3D sponsor booths. This ensured that attendees were both engaged and intrigued throughout the conference.

This all-virtual event lacked no element of the physical, in-person conference with abstract / poster session also available, along with on-line voting and the usual awards. Best of all, educational sessions were recorded and are now available on-line as an additional legacy benefit for attendees.

EBAday 2021 – June 2021

How OCTA ensured the ongoing success of Europe’s leading payments conference.

Organised by the Euro Banking Association (EBA) and Finextra, the leading independent newswire and information source for the worldwide financial technology (fintech) community, EBAday is one of the most important payments conferences and exhibitions in Europe.

With a focus on euro payments and transaction banking, EBAday offers a packed seminar programme and a bustling exhibition floor (including a fintech pavilion), showcasing the complete spectrum of payment processing services from leading banks.

EBAday also provides crucial insights into key business, regulatory and technological topics, not only for payment practitioners from banks and vendors, but also for corporate treasurers.

Having worked with Finextra as events partner for EBAday since 2008, venuesworld.com was tasked with creating a virtual, on-line solution for EBAday 2020 to ensure the continuity of the event in the context of the global pandemic.

Supported by technical specialists. AVCOM and deploying OCTA, the virtual events platform they developed themselves, venuesworld.com.com ensured that EBAday took place successfully in 2020 and again in 2021 with 91 speakers, based all over the world presenting over 3 days across 2 concurrent streams.

Working with Finextra’s in-house designer, venuesworld.com and their partner, AVCOM, used the OCTA platform to build out a bespoke, on-line event to Finextra’s precise specifications, including Q&A and live polling which ensured high attendee engagement within the panel sessions. Over 3 days and streaming out on two concurrent streams, the team managed the pre-recorded content, presenter testing and live event days.

Crucially, the OCTA platform also facilitated an exhibition at which 42 sponsors and exhibitors participated with bespoke 2D booths created for each sponsor including custom backgrounds, banners and sponsor brand colours.

The OCTA solution also allowed pre-recorded content to be created ahead of the live days and released at different points throughout the event with sessions made on-demand after the event to delegates that had purchased the on demand package.

The EBAday platform was also made available as an App on the Apple & Google Play stores making the event even more accessible and user friendly.

European Haemophilia Consortium (EHC) Global Conference & Webinar Series

Facilitating multilingual communication at EHC events

Headquartered in Brussels, The European Haemophilia Consortium (The EHC) stages an annual Members’ Conference, two smaller conferences and several workshops each year. Due to the pandemic, these events needed to move to the virtual realm and chose OCTA as the platform to deliver these important events and host the educational content.

OCTA’s flexible and versatile functionality facilitated the creation of a multilingual platform (English & Russian) allowing delegates to log on, view upcoming events or watch on-demand recordings of previous events all in the one place.

Working with technical partner, AVCOM, OCTA developed a delivery and technical strategy, designed a highly customised virtual event platform, developed a bespoke online registration system and provided a wide range of services to EHC including: live studio streaming, pre-recording and editing, broadcasting 43 speakers to 5 continents and 93 countries, moderation and delivery of Q&A, live chat, live polling and management of sponsors & exhibitors.

Additional features available on OCTA that enhanced event participation for delegates included an activity feed for attendee engagement, social media feeds, on-demand library and a conference resource gallery including speaker slides and breakout worksheets.

In 2020 OCTA delivered 6 virtual events – conferences, webinars, and workshops –  for 20 -1,000+ attendees. Some events lasted an hour and one was 6 days long. OCTA is now actively engaged with EHC on 10 diverse virtual events in 2021 including their Global Conference in September 2021.

Louise, Louise G and Maria,
A HUGE thank you for everything you did to help deliver EHC 2020. I can’t express how nice it was to deal with three lovely, professional and extremely efficient ladies! You are an absolute testament to Venues World and I could not recommend your services more highly after working with you.

This was a huge learning curve for us all and you supported us within question from start to finish. I don’t think so many emails have been exchanged just for one event in the history of time!! It has been a pleasure and we look forward to working with you again in the future!

Thank you so much again!!

Kind regards,
Leah

EY: helping to build a better virtual conference

EY is a global organisation of more than 300,000 professionals committed to building a better working world.

A key requirement for EY in their choice of technical partner and platform for their recent live, virtual conference, was alignment between the selected platform and their existing digital assets and branding.

Another was the need to deliver both plenary sessions and workshops along with five streams of concurrent content. EY wanted the virtual event to lack none of the benefits of in-person where delegates would have the opportunity to choose their own breakouts sessions.

Add those together and you end up with a very tall order indeed.

As a fully customisable virtual events platform, OCTA provided the perfect solution for this 2 day conference that attracted 350 attendees. Powered by AVCOM’s technical know-how and venuesworld.com’s communication nous, this conference delivered a frictionless delegate experience with all content delivered live.

Attendees engagement was facilitated by core OCTA functionality like chat, polling, Q&A and session feedback. Other functionality included social wall and activity feed

All material was recorded and available post-event.
